About BSI
The Behavioral Science Institute (BSI) is a collaborative group practice founded by licensed psychologists and Rutgers alumni: Drs. Michael Friedman and Liza Pincus. Our team is dedicated to delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). We provide services for children, adolescents, adults, and families.
Central to our practice is a commitment to compassionate, client-centered care. We integrate the latest advancements in psychological research and innovative technologies to ensure the highest quality treatment. Our approach is tailored to each individual, utilizing ongoing, in-depth assessment and case conceptualization that allows us to address unique needs and foster meaningful, lasting change. Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, mood disorders, behavioral challenges, or other mental health concerns, our team is here to provide thoughtful, empathetic care every step of the way.

We do not accept insurance directly and do not participate on insurance panels. Payment is made by the client at the time of the service. However, many insurance plans will reimburse you a percentage of the bill under your out-of-network benefits. We can provide you with a receipt for services (a “superbill”) that includes all the information you need to submit a claim to your insurance company.
