
Dr. Gabrielle Gunin
Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Gunin specializes in supporting children and adolescents with autism, ADHD, anxiety, emotion regulation, and interpersonal growth. In addition to working with youth, Dr. Gunin provides therapy for adults with similar concerns and diagnoses. She also provides parent training and coaching to support behavioral concerns at home. Further, she has specialized training in diagnosing autism using gold-standard tools (e.g. ADOS) in individuals across the lifespan.
Dr. Gunin takes a strengths-based and individualized approach to treatment. She values meeting people where they are in a compassionate and genuine way, while equipping them with the tools and skills they need to make daily life easier and reach their goals. She is dedicated to helping individuals make meaningful and lasting change. Further, Dr. Gunin collaborates with parents, school personnel, and other providers in the provision of well-rounded care. Dr. Gunin’s therapeutic approach utilizes CBT and DBT-informed interventions.
Dr. Gunin earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Rutgers University’s Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP). She completed her clinical internship at Cooper University Hospital, where she participated on multidisciplinary care teams for youth with co-occurring medical and mental health concerns. Dr. Gunin also received DBT training at the Child Mind Institute, specialized training in assessment and intervention at the Rutgers Center for Adult Autism Services, and CBT training at the Rutgers Youth Anxiety and Depression Clinic. She has presented at conferences and published articles in peer-reviewed journals on the mental health experiences of autistic adults, and she has specialized training in autism assessment across the lifespan.
