
Postdoctoral Fellow
Kierra Pean,Psy.D (pronounced Key-air -ah Pay-aw) earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Rutgers University’s Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP). She completed her APA-certified internship at Girard Medical Center in Philadelphia, where she worked on an interdisciplinary team caring for individuals with severe mental illness (including Bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, and schizophrenia).
Dr. Pean has received training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) under the direct supervision of Dr. Shireen Rizvi.
As part of her doctoral training, Dr. Pean has worked with individuals across the lifespan and received training in the following: ADHD assessment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy(ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Metacognitive Reflection and Insight Therapy (MERIT), Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R), Emotion Focused Therapy( EFT) for couples including training in Arramu. As well as Trauma Focused Therapy(TF-CBT), and Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS).
